Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a holistic therapeutic procedure, a manual healing method, that deals not only with posture and musculoskeletal systems as in physiotherapy, but it also refers to the functions of internal organs and the craniosacral system.

The principle is based on the optimal development of self-healing powers by harmonising the functional balance of all structures of the human body. It is recognised as an effective method of relieving most types of back pain, neck and spinal problems, sport injuries, headaches to migraines as well as in the gastrointestinal tract for flatulence, constipation, diarrhoea and nausea. The osteopathic technique treats joints, ligaments, muscles and organs via the connective tissue and tries to correct loss of movement and thus to reduce tensions.

Craniosacral osteopathy

The skull and the sacrum are the bony poles that form a functional unit with the brain and spinal cord membranes. The connecting element is the rhythmically pulsating brain fluid (cerebrospinal fluid) with breathing.

Craniosacral therapy is a body work, in which fine manual impulses are applied to this system and a initiate self-regulation of the body, which supports patients on their way to recovery. The patient’s personality is treated with the utmost care, dedication and value.
